I am watching the State of the Union Speech. A thought went through my mind I was wondering how could war be prevented from breaking out anywhere ever again on this planet? Is there a solid plan to communicating with a country or an individual to come to a peaceful resolution with no violence involved? What didn't work to stop the previous wars? What can be learned about what didn't work in the past and how to not implement that same strategy again? What did and does work to keep the peace? I mean, after all the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. What could have been done differently that could have prevented the wars and the battles and arguments, and disagreements? I'm not saying "let's go back and change things," no not at all. I'm just saying, what can we take from what happened in the past from the conflict and wars this world has had and learn from it and do things differently? I think that's where critical thinking and problem solving skills come in.
